Toxic Shocks 163
Denim Demons 102
The Demons were looking for another win, but on this St. Patrick’s Day, the Shocks in green had the luck of the Irish on their side. The game started off pretty close, with a small lead for the Shocks. In the seventh jam, the Demon jammer was sent to the box, and Jammunition (new Shock transfer from Savannah) scored a 24-point jam to put the Shocks ahead 42-5. However, Demons’ Lez Dispenser and ChokeCherry answered with several back to back lead jams. The first half ended with the Shocks still in the lead, but by a 12 point margin. The second half got even more physical, with brutal hits on both sides by Queen Loseyateefa, Tica Boom, and Demanda Rumble. The Demons fought back to within a 4 point reach of the Shocks, until they were plagued with penalty trouble. Shock rookie Jean-Juke Picard had a whopping 22-point jam, and it looked like the Shocks would run away with it. But the penalty trouble hit the Shocks as well, and there was even a point where each team only had one blocker on the track! Yet again, the Demons brought the score to within four – 98-94. However, they were unable to stay out of the box, and two of their blockers fouled out of the game. As hard as they tried, they could not contain the dynamic duo of Juke & Jamm and the fantastic blocking from the rest of the Shocks. Shocks won 163-102.
Players of the game were Jammunition for the Shocks and ChokeCherry for the Demons.
